Step aboard our beautiful wooden picnic boat and settle in for a relaxed private cruise around Poole Harbour. It’s a lovely way to spend time with friends or family, surrounded by stunning scenery, amazing wildlife, and peaceful waters.
We’ll cruise around Brownsea Island, and depending on timings, Furzey and Green Islands too — with plenty of chances to spot birds, seals, and other wildlife along the way. Your skipper will then anchor in a calm, sheltered spot (chosen to suit the weather and tide), where you can swim, unwind, and enjoy your picnic.
There’s comfy seating both inside and out, plus a large picnic table where everyone can gather together. Onboard you’ll also find a small toilet and sink for convenience, along with easy swimming access at the back of the boat. And if you have little ones with you, crabbing off the back is always a favourite!
Our private charters depart from Poole Quay Boat Haven. Choose from a 2 or 3 hour trip — both offer a really special way to enjoy the natural beauty of the harbour and its islands, whether you’re out in the sunshine or enjoying a peaceful evening on the water.
We also offer fun and engaging educational trips for schools and clubs. These include activities like water testing, environmental exploring, interactive games, and of course, a bit of crabbing too!
It’s a fantastic way for children to learn more about Poole Harbour, the wildlife in and around it, and what’s actually in the water — all while enjoying time out on the water.
